Proposed Stone House Hotel Public Hearing To Continue Monday

WARREN, NJ — A public hearing continuing the discussions on the proposed application to build a hotel on the grounds of the Stone House Restaurant in Warren will be heard Monday night during the Board of Adjustment Meeting.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in-person at the Warren Municipal Building at 6 Mountain Blvd.

The public hearing will discuss the proposed three-story, 48-room hotel at the venue at 50 Stirling Road. The hotel will also have an underground parking deck with 37 spaces.

The proposed hotel will be located in the wooded area to the right of the existing hall near Stiles Road.

Maddy Realty LLC, is seeking two variances. One for use of the land for a hotel and the second for the height of the building. The proposed height exceeds 10 percent of the permitted amount.

The project has drawn some fire from residents in the area so much so that a Facebook group against the overdevelopment in the township was also formed as a result of this application. To learn more about the group click here.
