Driver Hits Fallen Tree

April 28
Police responded to the scene of an accident on Liberty Corner Road at 1:54 p.m., after a vehicle driven by Amanda Haltmaier, 18, of Short Hills, struck a tree that had fallen over the roadway in Thursday's rain storm. No injuries were reported in the incident.

No summonses were issued after a vehicle driven by John Fellin III, 46, of North Plainfield, hit the rear of a vehcile driven by Richard Farley, 44, of Gillette, on Hillcrest Road at 5:53 p.m. No injuroes were reported in the incident.

April 26
Alexander Swarn, 22, of Union, was charged with obstructing justice at 6:07 p.m. after he refused to comply with instructions from a Warren Township Police officer following a traffic stop on King George Road. He was released, pending an appearance in municipal court, after the charge was filed.
April 22
A construction trailer on Hillcrest Road was broken into and a Dell laptop computer, valued at $1,600, reportedly taken. Police received the report t 10:10 a.m.

A Tamarack Court resident reported at 11:18 a.m. that two vehicles parked at the residence had been broken into, but nothing was reported missing. Several other residents in the neighborhood had reported vehicles entered earlier in the week.

A cell phone was reported missing by the owner while at a Mountain Boulevard office.
