"Meet our boy, Rio, an 8 year old Belgian Tervuren, and our best friend.

Rio is tall, dark and handsome, and a lot of fun, with quite a sense of humor. He keeps life exciting because he loves to meet people and other dogs, and learn new things.

He’s a Dog Scout of America, which is like being a Boy or Girl Scout, because he earns badges for community service and skills. Most rewarding, Rio is a therapy dog. We visit both a nursing/rehabilitation home and a hospice in the local area, where he brings joy to many people, their families, and the staff, who love dogs and look forward to his visits.

Rio, an AKC Canine Good Citizen, has helped represent his breed at the American Kennel Club’s Meet the Breeds in New York City for the last 3 years. "
