I-78 Exit To I-287 Closed For Emergency Repairs In Somerset Co.
The exit was closed to repair a guiderail that was struck by a tractor-trailer.
BEDMINSTER, NJ — The I-78 eastbound Exit 29 to I-287 northbound is closed for emergency repairs in Bedminster on Tuesday, New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials announced.
The ramp from I-78 eastbound to I-287 southbound remains open.
Beginning at about 11 a.m., the exit was closed to repair a guiderail that was struck by a tractor-trailer. The following signed detour will remain in place through the evening commute:

I-78 eastbound Exit 29 to I-287 northbound detour:
- Motorists traveling on I-78 eastbound wishing to take Exit 29 to I-287 northbound will be directed to keep right and take the ramp to I-287 southbound
- Take Exit 17 to Route 202/206 southbound Somerville/Flemington
- Merge onto Route 202 southbound and keep right
- Take the ramp to Commons Way/Garretson Road
- Turn left onto Commons Way and cross the bridge over Route 202
- Stay right and take the ramp to Route 202/206 northbound towards I-287 northbound
- Merge onto Route 202/206 northbound
- Keep left and take the ramp to I-287 northbound/Netcong/Norristown
