UPDATED: Keith Taylor, 55, of Newark, was cited for failing to maintain a school bus he was driving because of  bald tires, after the brakes on the bus failed and the vehicle slowly rolled up an embankment near the intersection of Mt. Bethel and Moutainview roads and tipped over at 2:04 p.m. Police noted the driver rolled up the embankment to avoid hitting other cars. The bus, a 2009 Chevrolet bus/van owned by Samna Transportation LLC of Newark, was transporting students from Green Brook to Newark. The students on the bus were given medical evaluations, but refused additional attention.
