Somerset County Senior Centers Invite Residents to Pay it Forward in May
Submit stories of daily acts of kindness to GetIntotheACT@co.somerset.nj.us

Somerset County Freeholder Brian D. Levine, human services liaison, in conjunction with the Somerset County Office on Aging and Disability services, invites residents age 60 and above to join the Pay it Forward initiative in celebration of Older Americans Month in May.
The Pay it Forward initiative is designed to celebrate the daily actions and selfless contributions of county senior citizens that positively affect the community. The Somerset County Office on Aging and Disability Services invites county residents to write down an anecdote detailing an act of kindness performed during May, and submit it to GetIntotheACT@co.somerset.nj.us.
At the end of May, the Office on Aging and Disability Services will publicize the number and type of submissions received.

Residents also may elect to send in a positive note about a county-operated senior center, to participate in the Fifty Ways to Love Your Senior Center Project. Notes can include stories about the personal impact of the county-operated senior centers, examples of informative programs and classes or meaningful volunteer opportunities.
Stories and notes may be sent by email to GetIntotheACT@co.somerset.nj.us or brought in person to any county-operated senior center. Email submissions should indicate the town of residence and have the subject line, “Acts of Kindness.”
