Somerset Hills AAUW presents a travelogue on Japan
Japan Ancient and Modern Bernards Township Library January 13
Japan Ancient and Modern
Japan has a long and fascinating history. Settlements go back 12,000 years and amazing pottery was produced 5000 years ago. It is the country of Shinto nature-worship, Zen gardens, the god-emperor and the Samurai; of huge statues of the Buddha and miniature trees. Although it is a modern country at the cutting edge of technology, the culture is much different from our own. Learn more about it through a slide presentation, in costume, by AAUW members Robin Marion and Bonnie Gould.
Join us for an informative evening with Robin and Bonnie on Tuesday evening, January 13th at the Bernards Township Library. Refreshments begin at 6:30 pm followed by the program at 7 pm.
