Sticky Mess: Overturned Truck Leaking Syrup On I-78
State Police: "Ramp closed for cleanup and pancakes."

A truck overturned on Interstate 78 westbound near Phillipsburg late Friday, and was leaking syrup onto an exit ramp, police said.
The State Police had a unique way of describing the situation on Twitter:
Ramp closed for cleanup and pancakes. No injuries.

The accident happened at Exit 7 at I-78 and Route 173 in the Bloomsbury area, near the Pennsylvania border. A Pilot Travel Center is in the area.
The maple syrup spread over approximately 50 square yards, and emergency crews reported diesel fuel was also leaking from the truck. Reports from the scene indicated 1,600 gallons of syrup mixed with diesel fuel spilled, according to the Hunterdon County Democrat.

As of 3:15 p.m., there were no reported delays being reported on Interstate 78, though there were delays on Route 173 near the scene, according to the report.
