Summer Fun For Seniors At Somerset County Wellness Centers In July

Events for seniors in Somerset County are scheduled this month in Warren, Somerset, Skillman, Basking Ridge, and Hillsborough.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Computer classes, exercise programs, and summer fairs are going on across Somerset County in July for local senior citizens, a news release from the county said.

The Somerset County Office on Aging & Disability Services invites residents 60 years and above, and their caregivers, to learn more at one of six Summer Fun Days at county-operated senior wellness centers this month.

Registered participants will have access to farmers' market vouchers, if they are eligible; as well as emergency preparedness kits and shelf-stable meals (while supplies last), the county said.

Participants can also tour the center, enjoy a healthy lunch, and check out programming and educational opportunities.

Advance registration and lunch registration is required; contact the senior center of choice at least three business days in advance.
