TD Bank Hosts Veterans Fundraising Event In Warren, Somerville

WARREN, NJ — In honor of our nation’s veterans, the TD Bank in Warren and Somerville will serve as a designated hub to support Operation Shoebox as part of its annual "Bring Change" veterans campaign.

Through Nov. 10, donations will be collected. Operation Shoebox is an all-volunteer organization coordinating and shipping care packages to U.S. troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and other Middle Eastern countries.

Several times each year, volunteers gather to sort donated supplies to send to the brave men and women serving overseas. To-date, Operation Shoebox has shipped more than 73,000 total packages to U.S. military personnel serving in Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan and other posts in the Middle East.

Funds raised from the Bring Change event will help purchase care package supplies and other necessary items.

A separate grant contribution will also be provided through the TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank.

Locals can donate at the following nearby locations: 63 Mountain Blvd., Warren and 50 W Main Street, Somerville.
