UPDATE: Hundreds Without Power in Somerset County

Breaking: Bedminster, Basking Ridge, Bernardsville, Bridgewater, Green Brook, Watchung and more, all are affected.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Utility companies are working around the clock to restore power to residents in Somerset County as a strong nor'easter moves along the New Jersey coast Monday, according to power company officials.

As of 5 p.m. on Jan. 23 many of the outages have been restored. Here is what towns are still without power.

Jersey Central Power & Light outage map is reporting outages in Somerset County towns including:

  • Bedminster- Fewer than 5
  • Basking Ridge - Fewer than 5
  • Bernardsville - Fewer than 5
  • Branchburg - 11
  • Bridgewater - Fewer than 5
  • Green Brook - 16
  • Hillsborough - Fewer than 5
  • Peapack and Gladstone - Fewer than 5
  • Warren - 25

The JCP&L outage map includes a message from the company that says the power outages are related to the storm and they are assessing the damage.

"We will provide estimated restoration times when they are available," the company said.

PSE&G is also reporting several Somerset County towns affected including:

  • Bound Brook -Fewer than 5
  • Bridgewater - 94
  • Green Brook - Fewer than 5
  • Montgomery - 8
  • Watchung - Fewer than 5
