Warren Awarded $355K For New Playground, Pavilion

Somerset County Open Space Advisory Committee and the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs each awarded a grant to the township.

WARREN, NJ — Warren Township was awarded a total of $355,000 to build a new pavilion and playground at the municipal complex.

One grant was awarded by the Somerset County Open Space Advisory Committee where $300,000 will be applied towards the construction of the new pavilion.

The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) also awarded the Township a $55,000 grant which will be used for a new playground at the Municipal Complex.

Warren Recreation Director Joseph Passaro prepared the grants and presented them to the county. Mayor Victor Sordillo and the Township Committee thanked Passaro for his efforts.

The projects are expected to start in 2022.
