Warren Homeowner With 100 Pounds of Marijuana Inside Pleads Guilty
A search of his Warren home found more than 100 pounds of marijuana, ventilating and lighting systems, recipes for marijuana candy: police.

WARREN, NJ — A Warren man who turned his home into a drug production facility pleaded guilty Friday, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson announced.
Kai Peter, age 36, of Mount Horeb Road, Warren Township pled guilty to 1st Degree, Maintaining a CDS Productions Facility, 1 st Degree, Possession of Over 25 Pounds of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, and 2nd Degree, Possession of Less than 5 pounds of Hashish with Intent to Distribute.
A search warrant at his home on March 16, 2016 found more than 100 pounds of marijuana and under five pounds of hashish. The home was also equipped with supplemental ventilating and lighting systems, authorities report.

Detectives also located and seized boxes of plastic bags, humidifiers, vacuum sealers, marijuana cultivation books, mason jars, digital scales, recipes for marijuana candy and other drug paraphernalia items.
In exchange for the guilty plea, before the Honorable Robert Reed, P.J.Cr., the State recommended a sentence of ten years in the New Jersey State Prison with three years of parole ineligibility.

Peter is scheduled to be sentenced on March 10, 2017.
