Warren To Host Food Drive To Help During Coronavirus

Donations will be delivered to the Food Bank of Somerset County as hunger worsens during the coronavirus.

WARREN, NJ — The Warren Township Food Drive, organized by the Warren Green Team, will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The drive will be held at the old municipal building next to the Warren Library. Donations will be delivered to the Food Bank of Somerset County as hunger worsens during the coronavirus.

Here is a list of the most needed food items and products:

  • Canned meats, stews and soups
  • Spaghetti sauce (ready to use)
  • Dry pasta, spaghetti, Ramen noodles
  • Boxed shelf-stable milk
  • Macaroni & cheese
  • Protein and other bars
  • Infant diapers size 5 and 6 only
  • White or brown rice (1 or 2 pound bags)
  • Peanut butter, jelly, pancake mix
  • Cereals (cold) and fruit juices
  • Canned fruit and vegetables
  • Snack items for children
  • Beans - black, red or kidney
  • Laundry detergent, paper towels

Expired or used/open items can not be accepted.

Participants should fill a bag with non-perishable food items and bring it to the contactless drop-off. Masks are required.
