Four Warren residents died in the attacks on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.

WARREN, NJ — Warren came together on Friday morning to remember those who tragically lost their lives 19 years ago during the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
The 9/11 Memorial Service was held on Friday at 8:30 a.m. at the Warren Township Municipal Complex at 46 Mountain Blvd. with Mayor Michael "Mick" Marion, emergency responders and political officials such as Assemblyman John Bramnick in attendance.
"As we stand before this twisted metal monument that was part of the twin towers behind me we are filled with anguish and disbelief of those first responders who lost their lives to save those in the attack of Sept. 11, 2001," Marion said during the ceremony. "They were simply going about their days as well. So today we thank those first responders."
