Warren Local Out $895 After Hiring Craigslist Tree Cutters

A Warren resident was the victim of theft after hiring people off Craigslist to cut down trees on their property, police report.

WARREN, NJ — A Warren resident was the victim of theft after hiring people off Craigslist to cut down trees on their property, police report.

On Sunday at 4:13 p.m., a Highmount Avenue resident reported hiring the unknown Craigslist people and also renting a chainsaw from Home Depot.

The unknown people are now in possession of the chainsaw and have not returned to complete the job, Warren Police report.
