Warren Local's 5K Benefits Those With Spinal Cord Injuries

Warren's Quaid Mobus continues to host the QRMF 5K Run, Walk, Roll for the fifth year to help NJ families impacted by spinal cord injuries.

WARREN, NJ — For the fifth year, a Warren local will host his Quaid R. Mobus Foundation's 5K Run, Walk, Roll to help New Jersey families impacted by spinal cord injuries.

Mobus is all to familiar with the injury as he became quadriplegic in September 2013 following a tragic ATV crash. Turning his experience into something positive, Mobus has since set up the foundation to help others.

Registration and money collected at the race will go towards the Quaid R. Mobus Foundation, which is dedicated to providing support, assistance, information, education, resources and most of all, HOPE to families afflicted with spinal cord injuries.

The race will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 8 a.m. at Mountain Park, 255 Liberty Corner Rd., in Basking Ridge. The course goes along the 1 mile paved loop so that it is wheelchair friendly.

Registration for the 5K only includes free pre-race pasta dinner on Saturday, Oct. 12. There will be beer, DJ, huge tricky tray, 50/50 and race packet pickup available during the dinner. New race registration will also be processed at the pasta dinner.

The pasta dinner will be held at The Washington Valley Volunteer Fire Dept., 146 Washington Valley Rd., in Warren from 6 to 9 p.m.

Registration for the race also includes a custom long sleeve T-shirt with #QuaidsArmy inscribed down the right sleeve for the first 200 registrants of the 5K.

Awards will also be give to the top three in each age group male and female categories. There is also a $100 cash prize offered to the overall male and female.

All participants will receive a finisher's medal. Race Day Registration will be available for $35.
