Warren To Make Noise, Show Support Of Local Heroes Every Thursday
All residents are urged to go outside and ring a bell, blow a whistle, honk your horn, bang a pot, or clap your hands amid the coronavirus.
WARREN, NJ — Warren residents, businesses, and houses of worship are being asked to "make some noise" every Thursday night for those who have been helping to service the township amid the new coronavirus pandemic.
The Warren Township Committee is urging all residents to go outside and ring a bell, blow a whistle, honk your horn, bang a pot, or clap your hands between 7 and 7:05 p.m. on Thursday to thank all of those who have served us including healthcare workers, grocery store clerks, pharmacists, first responders and others.
"This is just one more example of Warren residents taking positive steps during a difficult time," Mayor Michael Marion.

The idea was started by Warren resident Debora Spingarn who reached out to the township.
"Ms. Spingarn and I wanted to spread some positive energy, and encourage Warren residents to take a moment to thank our healthcare workers, first responders, grocery clerks, pharmacists, and others who are providing necessary services. It is time to say a community-wide thank you," Deputy Mayor George Lazo said.
