Warren Man's Graffiti Causes $16K Worth Of Damage, Cops Say

WARREN, NJ — A Warren man was arrested after police say he caused $16,000 worth of damage by using markers on property throughout the township.

Samuel Wasserman, 27, of Warren, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief following an extensive investigation, Warren Township Chief of Police William E. Keane said.

Since 2019, Wasserman has been using markers on various buildings, utility and communication boxes, water company property, numerous street signs, and park kiosks totaling damages exceeding $16,000, according to the investigation.

Wasserman was arrested on Aug. 5, issued a complaint summons and provided with a Somerset County Superior Court date.
