Warren Marks 25th Anniversary Of 9/11 With Memorial Ceremony

WARREN, NJ — Warren Township officials, residents and students came together Friday to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The Township Committee gathered with community members for a special remembrance ceremony honoring those who died and the first responders who answered the call, according to Warren Township.

The ceremony included guest speakers Aarav Desai, a student at Warren Middle School, and Tom Soldiviero, a retired New York City Police Department member. The township thanked the two for sharing their reflections and “helping us remember the significance of this day.”

U.S. Rep. Tom Kean Jr., state Sen. Jon Bramnick, Somerset County Commissioner Melonie Marano and Somerset County Surrogate Bernice “Tina” Jalloh were among those in attendance, according to the township.

Members and students from the Warren Township School District also attended Friday's ceremony.

The township shared several photos from the gathering as part of its Sept. 11 announcement, showing community members assembled for the anniversary observance.

“We will never forget,” the township wrote in closing its remembrance.
