Warren School Named 2017 National Blue Ribbon Winner

Only 17 New Jersey schools were named as a National Blue Ribbon School for 2017​.

WARREN, NJ — Congrats to the Woodland School! The U.S. Department of Education has named the Warren school as one of the 2017 National Blue Ribbon Schools.

Woodland School was only one of two schools from Somerset County to receive this honor. The Cedar Hill Preparatory School, a non‐public school, in Somerset also made the list.

Woodland School, located at 114 Stirling Road in Warren is part of the Warren Township School District.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes outstanding schools including: public schools including charter schools, magnet/choice schools, Title I schools, and non-public schools including parochial and independent schools.

Using standards of excellence evidenced by student achievement measures the USDOE honors high-performing schools and schools that are making great strides in closing any achievement gaps among student groups.

Awarded schools will be honored at an annual awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., where each receives a plaque and flag to signify its exemplary status.
