The Somerset CountyEmergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP)

will provide significant economic relief to help low and moderate-income households at risk of experiencing homelessness or housing instability by providing support for rental or utility arrears, and temporary rental assistance.

 To qualify for this program, the applicant must be a resident of Somerset County and must meet the income guidelines below:

Questions about the program can be directed to ERAP@co.somerset.nj.us or by calling 908-231-7128.

 The program is currently being administered by County Counsel, who is also communicating with applicants and landlords and working with the New Jersey judiciary to reach settlement.

 Somerset County is in the process of retaining a consultant to administer the program. 

Once a contract is awarded, a website will be developed where individuals will be able to apply for the program.
