Warren, NJ -- Fourth graders at ALT welcomed Mayor George Lazo and Deputy Mayor Carolann Garafola to a publishing party on April 26, sharing a compilation of essays on their dreams for Warren, the United States and the world.
Under the direction of Grade 4 writing teacher Beth Figueira, students worked for more than a month, writing, editing, illustrating, and ultimately publishing their essays in a hard cover edition.
"I'm hearing a lot of great ideas," Mayor Lazo said as he and the deputy mayor listened to students read their essays. "And a lot about sidewalks in Warren.”

“We have a lot of great stuff in Warren, so it was hard to think of a particular ‘dream’ for Warren,” added fourth grader Ishaan Solanki, who was among those who suggested that sidewalks might be a nice addition to the township.
