Warren Township Schools Give Back
Students, staff and parents across the Warren Township School District open their hearts to aid others less fortunate.
WARREN, NJ — ‘Tis the season for giving as students, staff and parents across the Warren Township School District open their hearts (and their pocketbooks) to aid others less fortunate during the holiday season.
Students at Central School collected over 100 pairs of new slippers to benefit hospitalized children at Goryeb Children’s Hospital in Morristown, while fifth graders at Angelo L. Tomaso School conducted a canned good drive for the Franklin Food Bank in Somerset.
Seventh and eighth graders in Kristen Boni’s French classes have been collecting gently used clothing, school supplies and toiletries for the victims of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti. The students also wrote letters to residents of the French-speaking nation still struggling to recover from a 2010 earthquake when the devastating hurricane hit in October.
