Warren's Stone House Proposed Hotel Hearing Rescheduled
Hours before a scheduled public hearing was to take place Monday to discuss plans to build a hotel at the Stone House, it was rescheduled.

WARREN, NJ — Hours before a scheduled public hearing was to take place Monday to discuss plans to build a hotel on the grounds of the Stone House Restaurant in Warren, it was rescheduled.
The Warren Township Zoning Board of Adjustment sent out an announcement at 3:40 p.m. on Monday saying the application would not be heard at 7 p.m. Monday and instead be moved to Oct. 5.
The decision to move the hearing was made by the township and the applicant, Maddy Realty LLC.

A three-story, 48-room hotel is being proposed at the venue at 50 Stirling Road. The hotel will also have an underground parking deck with 37 spaces.
The proposed hotel will be located in the wooded area to the right of the existing hall near Stiles Road.

Maddy Realty LLC, is seeking two variances. One for use of the land for a hotel and the second for the height of the building. The proposed height exceeds 10 percent of the permitted amount.
The proposed hotel has received some negative reviews from nearby residents in a township Facebook community forum. Many planned to speak out against the project at the hearing.
