Coming off a 6-2 victory against Red Bank Catholic, the Warriors kept their win-streak intact with a 5-3 victory against the Immaculata Spartans.
The Spartans got off to an early 1-0 lead in the first quarter. That was their only lead of the game, as the Warriors took over.
Ryan Cunningham scored the first goal for the Warriors, tying the game 1-1. The game entered the half as a tie.

In the second half, Tyler Furlong added a goal as well as two assists in the team’s victory. John Tekin scored his fifth goal of the year while Alec Orazietti added the fourth goal for the Warriors.
The last goal came off a Jared Roche assist, where he evaded defenders and hit Cunningham for his second goal of the game.

The defense played stellar stopping the Spartans on multiple occasions. Goalie Jack Ayre won his second game of the season, holding them to just three goals the whole game. He added 13 saves to the win.
“We wor.ked for a straight 48 minutes and got the outcome we wanted. I just stayed relaxed and focused on the next save I needed to make. This is the win we work for day in and day out,” said Ayre.
The team was also dominant in their ground ball game giving more possessions to the offense, which led to more opportunities to score.
“The defense shut down Immaculata’s offensive game, which gave our offense opportunities to score,” said Captain and defensemen Danny Phillips on the win.
Commenting on the team’s first win against Immaculata since 2007, Coach Jamie Lovejoy said, “It was a collective effort. There were some great individual contributions, but this win was earned as a group. We asked our players to execute a specific game plan on both sides of the field and they did for 48 minutes. They fought and earned a quality win tonight.”
Captain Matt Rozmerski was ecstatic about the win and expects this streak to stay alive, saying, “We stepped up as a team. Now we just got to keep the ball rolling.”
The Warriors will play their sixth game at Pingry on Wednesday, April 9.
