Woodland Science Day Adds Extra Features
PTO program treats students to hands-on and upclose looks at insects, animals, fish and more.
Woodland School was invaded by mad scientists and reptiles Friday, as students were treated to the school's annual Science Day exhibits, courtesy of the school's PTO.
Science Day brings a series of special presentations to the school, with entertaining and educational exhibits that this year included beekeepers and ocean science (presented by Neal Brown, who had dinosaurs last year but thrilled kids this year with descriptions of horseshoe crabs, starfish stomachs and the uses of seaweed).
Organizer Kim Palmeri-Natan said the PTO's support enables the event to seek out presenters who are also "interactive" with the students.
