2 Masked Men Arrested In Armed Robbery In Green Brook
The 2 men were arrested in Piscataway and South Bound Brook following a robbery at a Verizon store. A 3rd suspect is still at large: Police.

GREEN BROOK, NJ — Two men are in custody and one man is still at large in connection with an armed robbery of a Green Brook business Sunday afternoon.
A 911 call came in at 4:20 p.m. reporting an armed robbery at a Verizon store located on Route 22 West in Green Brook where two men entered the store wearing ski masks. One of them was armed with a weapon, according to Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.
The men fled into a getaway vehicle driven by a third man. The vehicle was later spotted by Piscataway Police in an area off of Old New Brunswick Road in Piscataway.

One of the men, later identified as Antwon Barksdale, 19, of Irvington, jumped out of the vehicle but was arrested by Piscataway officers. Proceeds from the robbery were also located in the area by the Piscataway officers, Robertson said.
South Bound Brook Police later spotted the vehicle driving in South Bound Brook when the other two men stopped the vehicle and fled from the area on foot, according to the report.

One of the suspects, later identified as Mario Cumberbatch, 22, of Brooklyn, New York, tried to forcibly remove a driver from a nearby vehicle, according to the report.
Cumberbatch wasn't able to take the vehicle from the owner and he was arrested by a South Bound Brook Police Officer.
The third suspect escaped and the investigation into his identity and whereabouts is ongoing by detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Greenbrook Township Police.
Barksdale was charged with first degree armed robbery and second degree conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
Cumberbatch was charged with first degree armed robbery, second degree conspiracy to commit armed robbery, first degree carjacking and second degree eluding.
Both defendants were lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
