21-Year-Old Somerset County Resident Caught With $5,000 Worth Of Marijuana
Tobias G. Vestal, 21, of Somerset County was arrested for possession of marijuana - street value estimated at about $5,000.

Tobias G. Vestal, 21, of Franklin Township was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to sell - street value estimated at about $5,000.
According to Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey D. Soriano:
Prosecutor Soriano states that the Somerset County Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force received information that on July 31, 2014 Tobias Vestal would be in possession of a quantity of marijuana in the area of his Townsend Court residence.

At approximately 6:15p.m., a surveillance team consisting of detectives assigned to the Task Force and the Franklin Township Crime Suppression Unit observed defendant Vestal exit his condo. The defendant subsequently entered a silver Infiniti G37.
Detectives approached defendant Vestal, and, after identifying themselves, they asked him to exit his vehicle. As he was exiting the vehicle, detectives observed plastic bags containing suspected marijuana in Vestal’s sweatpants pockets. Defendant Vestal was found to be in possession of four (4) ounces of marijuana, and he was placed under arrest without incident.

Task Force members obtained voluntary consent from defendant Vestal to search his residence. As a result search, detectives seized an additional 12 ounces of marijuana, drug paraphernalia (a digital scale) and $12,320.00 in U.S. currency which was located in his bedroom.
The seized marijuana has an estimated street value of $5,000.00.
Defendant Vestal was charged with Possession of CDS (Marijuana) with the Intent to Distribute, 3rd Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Disorderly Persons Offense.
Defendant Vestal was lodged at the Somerset County Jail.
