4 Shoplifting, Warrant Arrests Made In Watchung

Watchung Police arrested two people on outstanding warrants and two for shoplifting, according to the police blotter.

WATCHUNG, NJ — Watchung Police arrested two people on outstanding warrants and two for shoplifting, according to the police blotter.

On April 15 at 8:16 p.m.: Shaqura Haines, 32, of Plainfield was stopped on Terrill Road for having s suspended license. During the stop it was discovered Haines had an active warrant out of Scotch Plains for $750. She was arrested, transported to Watchung Police Headquarters, processed and released after posting bail.

On April 15 at 8:22 a.m.: Peter Primavera Jr., 60, of Plainfield was arrested for having two outstanding warrant out of Watchung for $500 and Branchburg for $500 following a traffic stop on Route 22. He was transported to headquarters, processed and then sent to Somerset County Jail in lieu of bail.

On April 14 at 7:09 p.m.: Latoya Martin, 26, of Hillsborough was arrested for shoplifting $352.02 worth of merchandise from Target on Route 22 West. She was transported to headquarters, processed and released with summonses and a court date.

On April 10 at 9:22 a.m.: Lamar Waller, 24, of Edison was spotted by Walmart Loss Prevention as a "habitual shoplifter" and was monitored in the video game aisle. Waller was then seen filling a Walmart plastic bag with XBox, Playstation and other video games worth a total of $395.15 and then tried to leave the store without paying. He was stopped and arrested by police.
