Adult Puppet Show to Showcase Dark Comedic Storyline

The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College will present Robin Frohardt's, "The Pigeoning," on March 26

Branchburg, NJ -- The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg will present Robin Frohardt’s, "The Pigeoning," which features aform of traditional Japanese puppet theatre known as Bunraku.

Part of the Theatre’s Major Artists Series, the show will be performed on Saturday, March 26 at 2 and 7 p.m. It is aimed at adult audiences, the show is appropriate for anyone over 14.

"The Pigeoning" is a darkly comedic yet heartfelt story that spins puppetry, live music, and special effects into an epic tale about the illusion of safety and control in the context of the end of the world. Obsessed with cleanliness and order, Frank is also plagued by pigeons. Convinced that pigeons are plotting against him, Frank sets out on an adventure to solve a problem that may not even exist. "The Pigeoning" takes a look at the divide between man and nature at time when listening to the animals may be our best bet.
