WATCHUNG, NJ — A crash reduced Route 22 to one lane in each direction near Blue Star Drive on Tuesday evening, police said.
The Watchung Police Department announced the lane restrictions in an alert issued at 5:19 p.m. The department described the incident as a motor vehicle accident but did not release information about possible injuries, how many vehicles were involved or when all lanes might reopen.
"Expect delays," police told motorists.
Drivers traveling through the busy highway intersection should allow extra time and consider another route. No additional details were immediately available from police as of Tuesday evening.
