WATCHUNG, NJ — Drivers traveling on Interstate 78 near Watchung should prepare for possible delays as drainage restoration work continues this week.
According to a Watchung Borough advisory, the New Jersey Department of Transportation is conducting road work on I-78 eastbound and westbound between mileposts 40 and 43.
The project runs through Friday, with work scheduled daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Motorists should expect possible right or left shoulder closures during those hours.
Borough officials recommend that drivers reduce their speed, use caution and allow extra travel time.
The schedule may change because of weather conditions or unexpected events, officials said.
