Cancer Support Community Central New Jersey Awarded Over $193,000 in Gifts from Corporations and Foundations in 2014
Gifts include a $30,000 grant from the Merck Foundation to fund Cancer Transitions Program

Bedminster, NJ, August 19, 2014 - Cancer Support Community Central New Jersey (CSCCNJ) is pleased to announce that they have received over $193,000 in major gifts from corporations and foundations so far this year.
Some of the programs funded included the Cancer Transitions program, a six week class designed to help patients who have completed active treatment to find their “new normal” as cancer survivors, the Men’s Support Group and Open to Options, a one-on-one counseling session designed for newly diagnosed patients to help them organize and prepare before their first visit with an oncologist.
“The program of support offered by CSCCNJ is at no charge to anyone affected by cancer in Central New Jersey, but it is not free of cost,” said Executive Director, Amy Sutton. “We are not funded by the government or reimbursed by insurance, so the generous support of these corporate and foundation partners is critical to ensuring that our vital work continues. We are grateful to all those in the community who have supported our life changing work.”
