Driver Hurt After Vehicle Strikes Tree in Green Brook

A vehicle went off the roadway Sunday morning and struck a tree on Greenbrook Road, sending the driver to the hospital, Green Brook Police said.

According to Officer Shawn Snyder, of the , the needed to free the driver from the vehicle after it lost control heading westbound on Greenbrook Road and struck a tree at about 7 a.m.

The driver was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital and the scene was cleared at 8:10 a.m., Snyder said.

The accident is still under investigation and the identity of the driver has not been released.
