DWI, Drug, Warrant Arrests Made By Watchung Police

Watchung Police report making five arrests on charges including driving while intoxicated, warrants and more.

WATCHUNG, NJ — Watchung Police report making five arrests on charges including driving while intoxicated, warrants and more.

Watchung Police Blotter:

On July 7 at 11:07 p.m.: Junior Gelin, 42, of Irvington was arrested on an active warrant out of Hudson County Superior Court and Newark Municipal Court for $200 following a traffic stop on Route 22 West. Gelin was transported to Somerset County Jail and issued summonses.

On July 7 at 12:47 a.m.: Robert Alvarez, 40, of Perth Amboy was arrested for having two outstanding warrants out of Atlantic City for $350 and Perth Amboy for $89 following a traffic stop on Somerset Street. He was transported to headquarters where he posted bail on the Perth Amboy warrant and released on his own recognizance on the Atlantic City warrant. He was also issued a citation for careless driving.

On July 6 at 3:34 p.m.: Alfonso Cabrera-Miranda, 30, of Bernardsville was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Stirling Road. He was transported to headquarters, processed and issued several summonses.

On July 5 at 9:28 p.m.: Carly Lambert, 30, of East Orange was arrested for having an active warrant out of Longhill Township for $325 following a traffic stop on Route 22 East. She was transported to headquarters, processed and released after posting bail.

On July 4 at 9:48 p.m.: Nicholas Dinola, 39, of Newark was arrested during the course of an investigation into a suspicious incident on Indian Run for being under the influence of drugs. Dinola said he was addicted to heroin and used that day. A search found a burnt glass pipe and two syringes. Also located in his vehicle were several bottle caps with an unknown white powder in them. He was transported to headquarters and issued summonses.
