Endangered Watchung Woman Remains Missing On Her 48th Birthday
Helen Kim was last seen in Scotch Plains boarding a NJ Transit bus, line 59, that runs between Newark and Dunellen, police say.
WATCHUNG, NJ — Today is Helen Kim's 48th birthday and instead of being surrounded by family and friends to celebrating it she remains missing.
Kim has been missing for almost two weeks now and Watchung Police are asking the public for help "to reunite her with her family."
Kim walked away from her home in The Point apartment complex on Route 22 West in Watchung on Dec. 6 at about 1:30 p.m. and was seen on surveillance video crossing Route 22 at North Drive in North Plainfield, according to police.

Kim was later seen at the CVS on Park Avenue in Scotch Plains. She left CVS at 6:15 p.m. and has not been seen since, police said.
She was most recently seen on surveillance video in Scotch Plains boarding a NJ Transit bus, line 59, that runs between Newark and Dunellen.

Kim is developmentally disabled, but is capable of communicating in English and Korean. She was last seen wearing a beige jacket, blue/gray hat, gray skirt, black leggings, boots, and carrying a brown purse, Watchung Police report.
She is described as an Asian woman, 4'11", 125 pounds with short dark, wavy hair that is white in the front and has a 3 to 5 inch scar on her stomach. She was born on Dec. 18, 1970.
