Far Hills Country Day School to Host All-Grade Open Houses

Far Hills, NJ – Far Hills Country Day School (FHCDS) will host two open houses on Saturday, November 8 and Saturday, November 15, from 1:00-3:00 PM on its campus located at 697 Mine Brook Road/Route 202, Far Hills, New Jersey. These events are free and open to the public.

The Open Houses are an opportunity to tour classrooms, talk to teachers and school leaders, and hear first-hand from current parents and students about their school choice. Attendees will also learn about:

• how expert teachers offer instructional differentiation in their classrooms and tailor their teaching to how each child learns best.

• why balance matters and how the school teaches both academics and character development.

• the importance of developing real-world skills like team work, resilience, creative problem-solving, creativity and time management through the Mission Skills Assessment, a pioneer program for assessing the development of “intangible” skills.

• how to select the best PreK program for your child and why it matters.

• how the school ensures continued academic success through its superlative secondary school counseling program with 85+ years of placement at the finest boarding and day schools in the country.

According to Lisa VanderVeen, Director of Admission, “(t)he very best way to determine whether a school is a great fit for your family is to visit the campus and speak with current teachers and parents. We encourage everyone to come with questions and explore all that Far Hills offers students and families.”

In addition to these Open Houses, FHCDS will also be hosting several Fridays at Far Hills Tours on the following dates from 8:30-10:00 AM: November 7, 14 and 21, December 5 and 12, January 9, 16 and 23, February 6, March 27, April 10 and 24, and May 1 and 15. These tours are a great opportunity to experience our classes in action.
