Green Brook Bake Shop Opens To Help Those With Special Needs

The Greensleeves Bake Shop will provide valuable job skills training for those with special needs and developmental disabilities.

GREEN BROOK, NJ — Greensleeves Bake Shop has opened in Green Brook and it is so much more than just a bakery.

The Greensleeves Bake Shop will provide valuable job skills training for those with special needs and developmental disabilities as well as funds for the programs run by the nonprofit organization, Allies Inc.

“We at Allies are living our dream. For the past 16 years, we have had the privilege of working with people with special needs and watching them succeed in their quest to attain a life full of meaning and promise," Greensleeves Bake Shop stated on its Facebook page. "A life well lived.”

Green Brook Mayor Pat Boccio helped welcome the new bake shop at its grand opening on Sept. 28.

"I welcome the Allies' Greensleeves Bake Shop to Green Brook and wish them much success," Boccio said. I am honored that Green Brook was chosen as the bake shop’s location."
