GREEN BROOK, NJ – Ninety-three year old Marcelle Gorman stood on her Green Brook Township porch today smiling widely as she watched hundreds of kids decked out in baseball and softball uniforms troop past her house.
“I’ve lived here for sixty three years, and I’ve seen a lot of parades over that time,” said Gorman. “I love it every year, and it just gets bigger and bigger. It’s so nice to see all these happy kids.”
The Green Brook Little League has been operating for more than 35 years, helping children from Green Brook and neighboring towns learn about baseball and sportsmanship and play with other kids their age. In addition to regular spring games, the league also hosts a number of tournaments and fall baseball.
