Green Brook Local Among 6 Arrested For Marijuana

New Providence Police also made 3 arrests for active warrants and 1 for driving while intoxicated.

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — A Green Brook local was among six to be arrested for possession of marijuana recently in the borough, according to the police blotter.

On Sept. 5: Patrolman Andrew Lynch arrested Daniel Viola, 18, of Green Brook for possession of marijuana 50 grams or less, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a synthetic cannabinoid. Viola was processed and released pending a future court appearance.

On Aug. 20: Patrolman Andrew Lynch arrested Jerome Reid, 21, of Piscataway for possession of marijuana 50 grams or less. The arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle stop on Southgate Road. Reid was processed and released pending a future court appearance.

On Aug. 27: Patrolman David Rodriguez arrested Amelia Guillen, 27, of Jersey City for possession of marijuana 50 grams or less and failure to deliver controlled dangerous substance(CDS) to a law enforcement officer. The arrest stemmed from a check on a suspicious vehicle on Candlewood Road. Guillen was processed and released pending a future court appearance.

On Aug 27: Patrolman David Rodriguez arrested Morgan Delepine, 22, of Middletown for possession of marijuana 50 grams or less, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a synthetic cannabinoid. The arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle stop on South St. Delepine was processed and released pending a future court appearance.

On Aug. 29: Sergeant Sretenovic arrested Edward Castro, 18, of Summit for possession of marijuana 50 grams or less and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle stop on Mountain Avenue. Castro was processed and released pending a future court appearance.

On Aug. 30: Patrolman Jeffrey Bruder arrested David Tamin, 26, of Florham Park for possession of marijuana 50 grams or less and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle stop on Mountain Avenue. Tamin was processed and released pending a future court appearance.

On Sept. 10: Patrolman Jeffrey Bruder arrested Jean Cubas, 29, of Elizabeth on an active warrant out of Union County. The arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle stop on Union Avenue. Cubas was turned over to the Union County Sheriff’s Department.

On Sept. 12: Patrolman Jeffrey Bruder arrested Kyaire Lee-Rumlin, 19, of New Providence for possession of
marijuana 60 grams or less, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to deliver controlled dangerous substance(CDS) to a law enforcement officer. Lee- Rumlin was processed and released pending a future court appearance.

On Sept. 16: Patrolman Jeffrey Bruder arrested Juan Santiago on an active warrant out of Hudson County. The arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle stop on Central Avenue. Santiago was turned over to the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department.

On Sept. 19: Patrolman Andrew Lynch arrested Markus Hand, 23, of East Orange for driving while intoxicated. The arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle stop on Division after the vehicle was involved in a hit and run crash. Hand was processed and released pending a future court appearance.

Sept. 19: Patrolman Andrew Lynch arrested Loren Hamilton, 53, of Summit on an active warrant out of Newark. The arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle stop on Division Avenue after the vehicle that she was a passenger in was involved in a hit and run crash. Hamilton was released by Newark Police on her own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
