Green Brook Signs Agreement for Leaf, Branch Disposal
Shared service arrangement with Plainfield will help residents dispose of vegetation.

Green Brook Township and the Plainfield Municipal Utilities Authority announce an exciting and long overdue partnership.Ā
On Oct. 15, the Township Committee passed a resolution to enter into a shared services agreement with the PMUA for the disposal of residents' leaves, branches and brush waste. Previously, for the disposal of leaves and other herbaceous material, Green Brookās Public Works Department collected the material off the street, deposited it at their yard and re-loaded it into 100-yard containers to be hauled away.Ā
āThis agreement will lead to more efficient and cost-effective services for our residents, which is our top priority," Mayor Jerry Searfoss said. "Given our close proximity to the PMUA, this just makes sense.ā Ā
