Hotel Clerk Accused of Taking Cash Receipts
Police looking for Georgia man who stole more than $2,500 while working the night shift.
A manager at the reported cash receipts totaling $2,531.70 missing from the hotel safe when she arrived to pick up the weekly deposit on Sept. 5, according to Green Brook police.
The manager told police she picks up each week's receipts, checks, credit card charges and cash on Wednesday, and last week found nightly envelopes containing the day's credit card charges and payment receipts, but no cash from Aug. 29 to Sept. 5.
A 46-year-old Georgia man hired to work a nightly shift on the front desk desk was responsible for the nightly check out. He had been living in a room at the hotel, but has not been seen since Sept. 5.

Police circulated information on the missing clerk, and contacted police in the town of his last known address.
