All local schools will be closed Monday and Tuesday, district officials announced today ahead of Hurricane Sandy reaching the area. Watchung Borough schools announced closing earlier, while Watchung Hills Regional and Green Brook school boards announced schools will be closed at about 4:45 p.m. Announcements on plans for Wednesday will be made Tuesday. The storm has also shuttered libraries in Warren and Watchung, as well as Green Brook Township offfices and Watchung Borough offices. Patch will continue to update as announcements are made.
