June 8 Public Meeting on Priority Investments Study

The public is invited to learn about Phase 2 of the Supporting Priority Investments in Somerset County Study at a June 8 meeting.

Somerset County Freeholder Deputy Director Patricia Walsh, planning liaison, invites local elected officials, planning board members and staff, consultant planners and the public to come hear the results of Phase 2 of the Supporting Priority Investments in Somerset County Study.

The public meeting will be held Monday, June 8, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the third-floor meeting room of the county administration building at 20 Grove St. Free parking is available in the adjacent Bernie Field Parking Deck.

Somerset County and the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority are co-hosting the final public meeting for the Supporting Priority Investments in Somerset County Phase 2 Study. At the meeting, the draft land use and infrastructure recommendations for the seven selected Priority Growth Investment Areas (PGIAs) will be presented.

These will include specific recommendations for land use and zoning changes. Transportation projects and infrastructure improvements that advance the goals and objectives of the Somerset County Investment Framework and municipal master plans will be presented. A PGIA-specific implementation matrix and other policy changes will be discussed for each PGIA.
