Man Charged For Spitting Blood in Officer's Face in Somerset County
After being pepper sprayed and handcuffed, the man 'spat blood in another officer's face' as he was being escorted out of the store: blotter

NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ — A man, who was found sleeping in a convenience store bathroom in North Plainfield was arrested for spitting blood in an officer's face, according to police.
Employees of Quick Chek, 395 Somerset Street, North Plainfield reported finding Jordan O. Keats, 26 of West Orange sleeping in the bathroom on Friday, Nov. 4.
North Plainfield Police woke Keats up and found he had two outstanding warrants for arrest. When he was told he being placed under arrest, Keats resisted, according to police.

After police pepper sprayed Keats, he was handcuffed. As he was being escorted out of the store, he "spat blood on another officer's face," according to the blotter.
Keats was brought back to North Plainfield Police headquarters and charged with Throwing Bodily Fluids at Police.

He was then taken to Somerset County Jail.
