Man Wanted In Street Robbery, Police Seek Public's Help: NPPD

A man riding a bike approached a woman and said, "Give me your money or I'll kill you," as he tried to rob her, North Plainfield Police say.

NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ — Authorities are asking the public for help in identifying a man wanted in connection with a street robbery in North Plainfield.

On April 2 at 9:48 p.m. a man riding a bike approached a woman at the intersection of Chatham Street and Warren Street and said, "Give me your money or I’ll kill you," as he tried to rob her, North Plainfield Police said.

The man is described as Hispanic, in his late 20s to late 30s and wearing a red puffy jacket, beanie, black ski mask, gloves and khaki colored pants. He was also wearing a backpack with a distinct two-tone look and riding a blue or black mountain bike, police say.

The man was allegedly riding up and down Watchung Avenue for more than an hour, before finding and stalking his victim, police said.
