Megan's Law Parolee Faces Marijuana Complaint

Courier-News reports court documents say man violated terms of release.

The Courier-News reported that a court filing charges resident Rodman Lent, 60, violated the terms of his parole on sex offenses by testing positive for marijuana use, missing required counseling sessions and for leaving the hotel outside of specified hours on Sunday. The charges were made by a parole officer.

According to the report, Lent was convicted of aggravated sexual assault and sexual assault charges in 2000, and released from the Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Woodbridge in 2006. The State Police Sex Offender Registry reports his victims included two neighborhood children and a niece, all between 7 and 9.

The newpaper's report said Lent was required to stay at his residence, and only leave between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for work, and noted the parole officer's complaint said Lent is considered a danger to the community because of a “blatant disregard of his supervision requirements.”
