Michael Downer Named Branch Vice President of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Warren/Watchung

WARREN/WATCHUNG, N.J. - (Nov. 30, 2015) – Hal Maxwell, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y., is pleased to announce that Michael Downer has been named branch vice president of the company’s Warren/Watchung office. Downer will be responsible for the day-to-day office operations and oversight of approximately 50 affiliated sales associates serving communities throughout the Somerset County area.

Downer, a Bridgewater resident, was promoted to branch vice president of the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Short Hills in April 2015. Prior to that, he had eight years of distinguished sales experience. Downer was honored by the Hunterdon/Somerset Association of Realtors (HSAR) as its 2013 Realtor of the Year.

“Mike did a great job growing the Short Hills office. His wealth of experience helped agents increase their business while providing superior customer service. Mike’s strong leadership and extensive market knowledge from his time as a salesperson in Somerset County will be invaluable at the Warren/Watchung office,” said Maxwell.

Downer has earned many professional designations including Accredited Buyer’s Representative, Broker Price Opinion Resource, e-PRO online marketing specialist, Seniors Real Estate Specialist and Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, New Jersey Realtors and HSAR.

Prior to real estate, Downer spent 20 years in sales education, marketing and business development, also honing his excellent negotiation skills. He holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in communications, from San Diego State University and the University of Notre Dame, respectively.
