Raymond Smith, 49, of Montclair, was charged with DWI, at 10:46 p.m. July 11, after police observed the vehicle he was driving on New Providence Road crossing the lane markers.
Smith was taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests. He was also charegd with driving while his license was suspended, having an open alcoholic beverage container in the vehicle, and failing to maintain lanes.
Police also found outstanding warrants issued by the Montclair municipal court, with $1,000 bail required. He was turned over to Montclair police after the charges were filed.
